I was playing on my personal 1.18.1-18 paper server yesterday and did several hours of work on a build. When I came back to my PC this morning I re-started the server, logged in and saw all the work I did yesterday was gone. I checked the logs and there are not even any logs from yesterday, absolutely not evidence that the server had even been run yesterday at all.
Has any one else encountered this issue, and if so, is there any way to recover the work?

I guess this is going to be tough lesson. The only right way to stop the server is using the stop command and let it finish itself. You can also turn on (periodic) auto save with "/save-on" (highly doubt it was off) or use "/save-all" to save immediately once.
