Converting a singlerplayer save to a server save

making a new modded minecraft server using a friends computer, the mod automatically sets it up in a world format i dont want, am i able to start a singlerplayer version then transfer the save file for use or what do i need to do?

you should be able to go into your saved worlds folder and copy paste it as the server world, I think!
