Could anyone convert this xbox 360 world to java edition for me. I have tried and tried but I still can't do it so I would be grateful if anyone else could give it a go. You should see a large brick city floating in the sea.

Try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdxRmV_fPL4
You'll need to find the software listed in the description, but it's worked for me.

I tried that converter but kept on crashing after the first 3 chunks. Would you mind converting the world for me if it works fine on your computer?

Okay, I don't know why, but the world is blank. I'm guessing it's the way you extracted the savegame.dat from Horizon. Do me a favor, watch the tutorial I linked up to the part where he extracts the savegame.dat but before he opens oPryzeLP Mod Tool. If possible, record your desktop while doing this and link me to the video, it'll help me understand how you're doing it. Also, what version of Minecraft on the XBOX 360 do you have (what title update)?

I'm not sure what the update is called but it is the latest/last xbox360 update. I extracted the file exactly as the video did. It might be that horizon doesn't work properly on my computer. If you copy the content folder I attached to an empty USB stick and open horizon, you could try extracting the file.

Okay here's the problem, if you were able to extract the content folder off the USB, that means it's not formatted correctly. If it's formatted correctly (I know because I have a properly formatted USB), that folder would be hidden from you and you would only see a name.txt file. You need to wipe that drive with FAT32 (not NTFS) on a PC, then you need to initialize it on the XBOX 360 by following this tutorial (it's different): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XOfnAnh64Y
Then use the original tutorial I mentioned to get savegame.dat and we'll see if it works from there. I remember I had to try a few things before I figured out it was the way I'd configured my USB.

I'll have to try that tomorrow.

I'll give it a shot and see if it works

It appears you need to have an xbox 360 to do this, which I don't have, because the programs only access a usb stick formatted on an xbox, but here are a couple of tutorials and links to the programs they are using :

This one talks about horizon which you can get here :

This one also uses Horizon, but also refers to a program called opryzelp which you can get from here :

Thanks, but I have already tried using both of these methods before to no avail. The files I attached are the entire contents of the USB stick I copied the world from the xbox to. So if you transfer the contents folder to the USB stick then you don't need an xbox for the conversion.

Unfortunately, you do. What these programs do is look for all the things that the xbox formats the stick with, which includes the xbox file structure -which you are ot able to get on a pc.
What you are talking about - puting the contents folder onto a isb stick - I tried before I posted and got nowhere. The programs mentioned above would not see my stick as an Xbox stick and just kept saying 'no device installed'.

I managed to get the savegame.dat file by using horizon. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1JORvpj0Y9pbwB4KVa8OoXDzwGzziPdo9 . So mabey a USB stick isn't needed.

Unfortunately, its only Horizon that can convert this savegame..... and since Horizon refuses to see my stick as being an xbox stick, even though my system can see it plugged in, I am unable to get any further, sorry. All I get from Horizon is that thre's no device plugged in that it can use.

I've managed to extract the world using horizon. I've attach the savegame.dat. It's the next step of actually converting it that my computer refuses to do. Every converter doesn't seem to work on my computer.
