#1 Do not have all (Or any) staff opped.
#2 If someone can (Relativly) easily get a rank equal or better than this donator rank, no one will buy it.
#3 don't have too many staff. This will also cause issues
#4 no wierd ranks such as Head-Mod, YouTuber, God, etc.
#5 Do not give out the best items before your highest donator rank, if you do this, there'll be no point to buying it
#6 Do not do drop parties too much, only do it if the server is at least half full, I would prefer not at all, but people (Little kids) Like it.
#7 Do. Not. OverPay for advertisment
#8 Nothing can be OP. This means no /god donator, no /gm (Unless its well-controlled)
#9 Do not, whatever you do, sell staff ranks.
#10 Customize chat, the default makes you look unprofessional, and it's just plain ugly.
#11 Do not disallow swearing.
#12 Do not leave any configs untouched, customize everything for unique content, if your server is the same as everyone elses, No one will play!
#13 Do not have every prefix overly fancy, i.e. &8[&6&k||&4MOD&6&k||&8]
This looks plain ugly, have at most 2 ranks with fancy prefixes.
#14 Don't copy other servers, no name stealing, no content stealing, no map downloads, make everything yourself
#15 (Usually) Don't end your server's name with "Craft"! THIS IS WAY OVERUSED.
#16 Have something for people to work towards, if there's no point to playing, no one will!
#17 Do. Not. Op. Friends. No matter how trustable your friends are, it looks unprofessional, as it is.
#18 Less is more (When talking about plugins)
#19 Don't start people with no perms, the second someone sees they have no perms, they'll leave your server.
#20 Make a good spawn (I don't mean a big one!)
#21 People like unique content. Plain and simple, make your server different, weird, etc.
#22 Do not make "Events" Unless your server has a decent amount of players on it, I see events on small servers and think it's kind of nooby.
#23 Put yourself out there! Have at least 3 voting sites people know!
#24 Do not spam other servers for advertisement, nor tell people to. I personally hate this, and if I see this happen I tell them off.
#25 Do not discriminate! (I do not care about chat, I mean the server itself) Do not say there's an age requirement, this is silly! (I am 15, in case someone is wondering)
#26 Don't be abusive, I hope this one is obvious, but, really, don't.
#27 You by no means need a server website, but personally, I highly suggest it.
#28 Have something for people to do themselves (Mobarena, Quests, Parkour, etc.)
#29 Add things for people to do with each other! (Spleef, Paintball, War)
#30 Don't have any shop if you cant make a balanced econ.
#31 If you're making a public server, it's for the players, keep this in mind.
#32 Do not allow cheating (In most cases) People do not like hackers.
#33 Don't beg for donations, don't tell players you NEED money for the server to stay up (EVEN IF ITS TRUE)
#34 Don't over-do it on the slots, most server hosts allow unlimited, just don't set it to 100, seeing a 8/25 server looks alot better than 8/100.
