Does anyone have any idea of how to stop DDOS attacks? One of my friends have been having trouble with being DDOSed everyday for at least one hour so the host nulls there ip for 24h. If anyone can give some help that would be great!

Now there are two ways - one manual, and one automatic. Obviously, the manual one is easiest and cheapest (generally free) and automatic really is you just buy a black box that manages pings and will recognize a DDoS attack and will just drop the relative IP packets. Now for manual, theres so many ways to protect yourself. One way is to have a secondary ip... like have you seen those ips like: randomip.no-ip.com? Those are generally free - and as long as no one knows your actual IP all you need to do is change the randomip.no-ip.com to something else, and bam no more link to the server and the DDoS reaches a dead end Another way is just to change your internal IP. Hope I helped.
