does anyone know of a way to get cheap ddos protection? i am not willing to pay 100$ for protection thanks for any help!

How much ram are you buying? is it a dedicated machine? (Note, there is a difference between dedicated server and machine. A dedicated machine means that your server is the ONLY server running on that machine. Most hosts run up to like 4 or 5 on a single machine) You probably either have a bad host or they are really just ripping you off. Send in a support ticket and ask them to change your internal IP.
Well, if you are running your server on a homemade server (Which I am assuming you are, because any decent host would offer some sort of DDoS protection) all you need to do is change your internal IP on your machine. If you dont know how to do that, youtube it.
I am on a paid host but they have no ddos protection or the little they do cost 150$ a month
