I have been using Minecraft hosting companies to host my server for the past few months. My server has grown and I think it is time to rent a dedicated server. What I am looking at is an E3 1270, ssd, 16 gm ram, 100 mbit upload with 5 tb bw. This is from limestonenetworks.com for $170 a month. Is that a good enough machine for a few hundred people online? If you have any suggestions for a company or another dedicated server let me know. Is the 5 tb bw enough for maybe 100 people online average 24/7? My last question is how should the server be running on it? I am planning on using multicraft because I might split up my multiverse server into multiple servers and I know multicraft can manage multiple servers.

5TB of space is crazy unless you have a lot of stuff that needs caching! (using Hawkeye which I highly recommend)

these guys have 100 players for $77.44 a month. Not a few hundred. If you're looking into buying a server, look into how to run stuff on a server first and learn to love terminal.
