Dedicated Server Specs
Hello fellow Minecrafters/Server Owners/Players,
I have a small server that is rapidly growing and I want to purchase a fully dedicated server for my server. I was wondering if the specs I post below will be able to handle 100-200 players online. Note there will only be one server on the dedicated server. My server will be around 16-20GB
Specs:
8 Cores / 16 Threads
2.27Ghz - 2 processors
24GB RAM DDR3
500GB SATA Hard Drive
1Gbit port with 10TB Monthly Transfer
Linux CentOS 64 bit
5 usable IPv4 Address
/64 IPv6 Address Block

What cpu is it? it can make a difference but for the most part you should easily be able to to run that many people quite smoothly if everything is configured efficiently.
It should just hold about that many and run alright.
I suggest sticking with a much smaller server and save some money.
How can you be certain there'll be 100-200 players on?
