I looked everywhere, but can't find out how to fix this. Its essentials, and I use groupmanager.

just do /mangdelp Default essentials.nick
But i think you have your builder group under default soooo.
/mangdelp Builder essentials.nick
W/E they point is remove that perm from permission nodes.
Or just find it in /plugins/GroupManager/globalgroups.yml and remove "essentials.nick" part or move it for another group -_-

I recommend permissionsEx as your PERMS plugin by the way
Try negating the permission for the default group and trying again. Make sure that you're using Vault or have a permissions plugin compatible with Essentials.
Changing the nickname or the ~ for the nick name?
If to change the ~ go into config and search for '~'
If in game to change nick, do command: /nick NAME nick

I mean, they're using /nick (name they want) to change there name.
That means they r using Nickname plugin and they should remove that,
Its part of essentials, and essentials.nick isn't under the group Default.
