Did "good" servers die with 1.0.0?

I loved the days before 1.0.0, there were plenty of non-greifing, non-stealing, and non-pvp servers. Now, I look and all I see is pvp, greifing, stealing, etc. Did the servers for people that, wanted to play without the threat of logging off and having everything destroyed/stolen or building/mining/exploring and being killed because you actually cared, become lost? I hope not, because I loved the pre-1.0.0 servers, and I know many others do as well. I miss them, do you?

Is it just me, or is it that my server is one of the only servers with Factions, but no griefing/raiding?
A fun server that I play on is ‘’Fusion craft’’ is a smp/pvp/faction server. It is 24/7 and is always fun. The staffs always there for questions and to help. It has no hackers do to the fact that they are always watching to find hackers and grievers. The ip is -snip-
yeah i preffer bukkit survival because 1. in vanilla griefing is a huge problem and 2. survival can just get boring alot fater if you dont have things like economy bloodmoon etc in my opinion
I totally agree with you bro. My server is non pvp, pure vanilla survival JUST because of this reason
that doesnt explain what xray and hacked clients are...
it all depends now because now half are pvp and griefing the other half are no pvp no griefing and plots and plots are shit
i keep hearing things about hacked clients and xray and stuff like that.. WHAT THE HECK IS ALL THAT
its a buncha pissy 12 year olds who cant enjoy a game so they have to ruin it for everyone else...
Honestly I think it just depends on finding the right server! I have played on a number of servers that were fine after 1.0.0, But they had active communitys on them and had anti griefing protection in place etc..
I guess its like any other game really, If a server is left without administrators/community looking after it then its just going to end in chaos!

No it's because of me....the griefer......real griefers don't use hacked clients....
idk if ud like it but ive spent alot of time buiding up a friendly communinty in my server and we have good antigrief and no pvp plugins tht keep anything you build safe and all that... you hshould try it out ips -snip-
Moved to 'General Server Discussion & Help' as this is general server related discussion. Also, I really don't see how you think these servers 'died' with the release of Minecraft. There are still plenty of survival/community based servers, where griefing isn't allowed, as well as other bigger servers, which offer protection against these things and do not allow griefing. Just takes a bit of time to find the 'right' server, I suppose. I mean, we all have opinions, right?~
So, as an answer to your question, no, I do not miss them as they aren't truly 'dead'. That's all I really have to say on this subject, hope to see other's opinions ^-^
