Does anyone have tips for finding diamonds in Survival?
I have mined down to bedrock and done some branch mining at several different depths. I have found a few diamonds, but I want to find more. Do you have any helpful tips?

x-ray hacks are good, but only on anarchy servers

Go to y level 12, and mine straight. Takes awhile, but works. :)
If you want to find them quickly, I can't help you.

tip if you go into a cave and deep down in it you might find diamonds

if you want diamond tools, just go and trade with weaponsmith, toolsmith, armourer, tile they get to master.
if going for beacon, spam the iron tools and smelt (it would take a while but it woulb (probably) be worthe it)

I always get lost in strip mines

use torches to help you. make a system that has, for example, if youre going deeper into the mine, torches on the right, but if youre going towards the exit, torches on the left. it helps a lot

As other's have said;
Down to Y11, I do a very long 3x3 wide tunnel (500 blocks to start), then from the beginning, make a 1x3 branch and I dig as far as I can go, usually 200-500 early game, late game with shulkers, I go until I have X stacks where, depending on my mood.
I space my branchs 3 blocks apart, very unlikely you'll miss any. Maybe 1 or 2. Nothing to worry about.
Late game I'll probably do 10-15 block apart

I personally mine in a straight line at Y12 to find diamonds, and it works pretty well for me.
If you're playing multiplayer, space out your mines by at least 3 blocks.
If you're more endgame, try setting up a Haste II beacon and just holding left click and running around with an Efficiency V diamond pick.
Hope this helps!
Edit: had to make a few clarifications

I used to branch mine until a friend suggested strip mining, now I find diamonds quite often. Take Stubbs1's advice to heart as it's the best method to finding diamonds.

What is the difference between branch mining and strip mining?
3
Strip mining is when you mine a large area not leaving any blocks behind (usually one "strip" at a time) and branch mining is when you mine in a straight line and then make "branches" that spread out from the original branch, leaving one or more blocks between each branch entrance.
Since my explanation is most likely lacking, check this YouTube video for a visual representation of what I'm trying to explain.

I always follow the rule of thumb that says: y=11 and then strip mining is the best way to find diamonds. It has been quite effective whenever I've played survival, so it might work for you as well :)

Thanks, I will try it.
