Does anyone know if it's possible to teleport entities?

I'm making a minigame, and I was wondering if anyone knows if you can teleport entities such as tnt or splash potions...

Summon the an entity to destroy the first entity and then summon the same entity somewhere else at the same time.

Odd question. You'd probably use the IDs of either the item or the random ID they get whn spawned. My guess is you wouldn't get what you want.

Hmm not exactly sure, the only entities I know move through real game logic are zombie pig man and netherportals
