Does Forge Update Automatically??

Hai there.
So, I have been seeing the new updates and snapshots from the Minecraft "People" About the new Minecraft 1.9 and such updates like the two hands.
Well, I am new to MC Forge, and I want to know if it updates automatically. Do the mods that I download update automatically?
Please help!
I want to maker sure that I am up to date with all of the new Minecraft, Forge, and Mod updates but I don't know how to stay updated.
DO I have to re-download the mods and texture packs in order to keep them updated?
Does Forge update automatically? Or do I have to go download it again? I am VERRRRYY unsure!
Does Minecraft update automatically, or do I have to re-download Forge to keep Minecraft updated? (As you have to choose a Forge profile when playing MC with mods and not a "Use Latest Version")
Please give me all the info that you can!
I hate not being up to date on things, so helping me find out if I can stay updated with MODS, TEXTURE PACKS, FORGE, and MINECRAFT, would be VERY helpful!

Sadly, mods and forge do not update automatically. But most come with a built in update notifier. So if there is a new version, it will say in chat when you open a world or join a server that there is a new version. And most (most!) will have a link in that chat message to download the new version. Then you just swap out the old version for the new version and boom. Up to date.
Minecraft kind of auto updates. If you keep it on "Use Latest Version" it will download a new version any time there is a new version.
Forge doesn't auto update but unless you absolutely want to have the latest version, you shouldn't need to update until the mods you are using require a newer version.
