Okay, I'm 19. Everyone I meet on here is about 13-14, does that mean I'm a pre-teen at heart? XD I have really YET to meet anyone my own age, and it's really funny tbh. I guess most people my age grow out of Minecraft besides me! XD

I'm 23, and probably get just as excited about minecraft and planetmc as the younger players out there

nearly all of the people i play with on servers are in their early 20's

I think it comes down to gaming,

a true gamer will always have a youthful, playful streak in them, no matter how old they are

I'm 19, our dev is 22, most people on our server are above age 15. And we have one guy who is 34. Also my entire college full of engineers was playing it when it first came out. So no. It isn't a kids game.

It just happens that a very massive amount of people playing it now ARE 13-14. >.>
But it's cool. Cause you can be the cool older guy.

I am almost 19.
Minecraft has 2 groups. One i feel is much larger than the other.

You have the minors group, which are the younger types. Most of these people you will see playing the role in minecraft as a "player" or a "artist" playing on mc servers and creating skins, textures, and such

Then you have the older age group, which still plays minecraft like the younger ones, but express themselves more often through server administration, and mod creation.

I for one fall under server administration, and mod creation. But I also like to fiddle around in my image editor with the minecraft textures.

I got people who play on my server as young as 10, all the way up to older members past 30's

Basically what I am saying is that younger types play the game creatively, since on average, they wont know much about how to setup and run a server, or write java. Older types have done that already as kids, so they prefer to have fun by creating complex works, and seeing how they do in the community.

RoxthesoxIs it strange that I've played Myst but I'm only 15?
No, it means you were raised properly by a family that cares about showing you cool things.

Both of you just got a lot cooler. No not cooler, awesomer, my mistake. That's the dial on the right. It's not that hard, my friend.

IronToastBotYep for a while I felt like an 18 old weirdie playing a game that is mostly played by 10 year olds. Then I realized all games are like that.. Except maybe Myst..

I'll still play Minecraft when I'm 80.
That's the great thing about this game, no specific target audience.

We have plenty of people in their twenties on our server. I think minecraft is one of those games that is truly universal. Anyone can enjoy them. Heck my physics teacher got hooked on minecraft after a student did a electricity project using redstone.

24 here. There are plenty of members who are above 20, actually. They're just not as excited about getting attention and posting on the forums as much as the younger crowd.
