Is it possible to get double stone slabs in the snapshot(14w32d), I know you can get them in 1.7.10 but whenever I have the item in my inventory, or in a chest it disappears. I can still see the block placed down in the snapshot though, does anyone know of a way to obtain the item?

Numeral IDs don't exist in 1.8 and snapshots.
There isn't any name or Data Value that spawns it either. Having the block in your inventory then updating results it in being deleted from the slot it's in. Also works on chest.
