Is there any way to downgrade the client to the 1.6.2 ? Apparently I just downloaded the new one and Im having same trouble as many people that the server I am frequently playing on is now outdated.

Also if you want you can make multiple profiles for versions. Just go to MC and click new profile (name it what you want) and follow the last guys steps to fit the versions. The 1.6 update is very user friendly when it comes to versions/mods/profiles if you know what you are doing

Yes, you just go to your versions folder in your .minecraft and add mods to your 1.6.2 jar. You can also make a new 1.6.2 folder specifically for mods, which can be Googled for some good tutorials on Youtube and the like.
