im a big noob when it comes to server stuff, but im atm hosting one for myself and 3 friends. its running a 1.6.4 vanilla server and we`re having fun
My questing is: ive found a few mods id like, but their all 1.6.2, if i install a 1.6.2 server and just copy/paste the world folder, will i still keep all my stuff? from what i understood there wasnt a big difference between 1.6.2 and 1.6.4.

Mr epicawesome1 was correct. its not about mods, but moving my world from a 1.6.4 server down to a 1.6.2. And from what ive read its only bugfixes too. Im gonna give it ago when i get the time thanks for the great answers
you don't put mods in the world folder. you change the .jar. I recommend that if you don't know what your doing to stay with pre-made packs like FTB and tekkit.
You don't understand what he's asking. The mods he wants are for 1.6.2 but his server is 1.6.4 so he wants to downgrade, and he wants to know if he can copy/paste the world folder of his 1.6.4 server into the 1.6.2 world folder and if the terrain and stuff would still be the same.
I don't think there would be any issues with you doing that, if I'm right 1.6.4 was just bug fixes and stability improvements.
