Dropped Items Lag

Hello guys !
So I'm in a bit of a situation here...
I did some afk fishing overnight and didn't turn off my XP farm so all the items dropped by the farm stocked up and now I have I think thousands of items dropped in my world. As you would expect I can't do anything in my world the game just freeze. I tried to stop the farm but the game crashes before I can do anything.
I'm on survival so I don't have any commands to help me.
If someone had a solution I'd be happy cuz I spent quite a long time on that game^^
