Enable resource pack for a single world

I am trying to make a world in Java Edition that has a resource pack. I need to use a resource pack, but when I enable it it is enabled for all worlds. I need to enable this resource pack for only one world.

Immediatelyt after creating the world go to the options page (generally tis will be by pressing ESC)
At the lower left should be a button that opens resource packs

You will need to find the resource pack that you don't want in the right (selected packs) column.
Hover over it and then click the left facing arrow to move it out of the selected column into the detected [inactive] column
When you return to the game that pack should be disabled.
Note that you can also fo this before creating a world.
Packs are enabled for any particular world only if
A} the pack in in the proper folder
AND
b} the pack is in the right side (selected) column when that world is open
[Note that a newly d=created world uses teh selected packs from the last world played unless/until this is altered (either before or after world creation)]

that applies the resource pack across the entire game installation. the question is asking about applying a pack to a single world.
The way on applies a resource pack to a single world is to have it selected (e.g. in the right hand column) only the the resource pack screen that applies to that specific world.
[The resource pack folder is specific to a particular version e.g. 1.20.4 optifine, but individual packs can be selected/deselected for each world e.g. 1.20.4 optifine_WorldA vs 1.20.4 optifine_WorldB seperately. ]

Datapacks are limited to one world. Resources packs are texture packs just with addons(sounds, models)
