So i have this faction servers and for the shop i used essentials, but when i used the sign i typed everything right but when i exit it out becuz i was done to type the text dissapeard like if i never typed anything.
i have removed the # in the config.yml
i have added the permisson so i can create and use one

check to see if theres any updates for essentials
I may be wrong, but this may be something with your minecraft server version. I have had this issue with a 1.9 server. But I may be very wrong.
