When I play 1.9 or 1.10 I get around 5-10fps.
Versions 1.8 and before work just fine and I get around 90fps.

Just 3 things that may help,
1. Are your settings in 1.9 and 1.10 different from your settings in 1.8.
2. It may help to upgrade your drivers,

3. If you don't have the latest Java version, download the newest version here: https://java.com/download/
