Factions removes prefix's

Im starting a PVP minecraft server based around the factions plugin, i configured all other plugins, consisting of: Essentials, Essentialsspawn, PermissionsEX, Showcasesandstone, world edit, world guard, and chatmanager. all of those plugins are working as they should. but when i install factions, all of the prefix's, sufix's and colored names, are removed. i cannot find a solution and its been 6 days since ive had this probelm, ive got no where else to go, so please help
