I've been rebuilding/restructuring a factions server for a while, and plan to re-post it soon, but I noticed the Spout version of Towny and thought it looked kinda cool, if I could get everyone to download the Spout client...
I've never used Towny, but it seems to have a larger focus that factions, and maybe more building oriented, but I'm not really sure.
So for those of you familiar with Factions and/or Towny, which do you recommend using?

Neither, get a coder. They are both way too bulky.
I would say towny
Towny is only good if people are smart and know the commands. I use factions on server but be sure to config your factions config file because some settings are really fun to play on ( Deny Build but allow chests to be opened by other factions who raid the place)
Also spout is still a new thing so just allow it to mature for a while and make sure users know what it is.

If your server is PvP, use factions as it is more PvP oriented, otherwise, towny seems good if you like it.
