I have avast 2017 installed on my computer and ever since I updated it (After I got minecraft) The firewall keep blocking minecraft from accessing the internet.Whenever I play my skin don't load and most importantly I can't join servers !! I tried allowing java to access the internet through the firewall but same problem.
The only way I can play on servers and load my skin in game is by stopping the firewall (Which is very risky indeed)
If there is anyone that knows how to fix this please help.

You should be able to whitelist certain items look around for a why to allow programs through the firewall that you select.
[PS] I'd recommend checking on google how to whitelist/allow certain programs through avast 2017 firewall.

Well I looked up on google before even making this thread and I haven't found a certain way to allow it through avast 2017's firewall.Most of the sites I found just talk about white listing files and websites or older versions of avast.
But if you found the website that tells how to do it I will be really thankful :)

Make an exception in the firewall, or port forward the service manually in your router.
That's the problem,I tried to make the exception in the firewall but nothing worked.
And for the porting stuff I am never done such a thing and I don't have an idea how.
