Forge issues?

Over the last two hours I've discovered that either:
  • A
  • . Minecraft is a pain to mod
  • or
  • B
  • . That I'm too stupid to figure it out.

It also doesn't help that Forge is garbage and so is the person that made it. So here I am, looking for more help on the subject. I know I should be looking for help at the main Forge forums but, let's admit it, they're all a bunch of pompous, code mongering dicks. So.

First of all, why don't I have a "Mods" folder? C:/users/appdata/.minecraft has NO "Mods" folder and I've been told this is a rather important folder should I need to, I dunno, suddenly begin modding anything.

Number two, has anyone had issue downloading Forge in general? I keep getting this nonsense about
"can't download Org.Scala-lang"
for whatever reason, and the only help that Forge offers is a download that GIVES you the file "org.scala-lang" but it doesn't seem to do anything useful, like the people at Forge.

Is there any help for any of this? Because I'm passed the point of frustration, modding this crappy little game shouldn't be this difficult, especially when you have something that's intended to help you.

Double check that the version of forge you're installing matches your Java and Minecraft versions, and then double check that forge is fully being installed through the use of the forge installer.

The forge mod folder is created once forge successfully launches.

If you continue to get errors, post them in a full log using pastebin or so. But, since some of my good friends are garbage for pouring their heart into Forge development for the last 3 years, and probably myself too, I doubt my help is going to be useful. Thanks for clarifying this.

The versions do match, that's no issue, and there are no firewall or antivirus issues that seem to be blocking either the download process or anything Java related. So at this point I'm at a loss as to what it is I should do. I know the folder will be created once Forge launches but I can't get Forge to launch if I can't even get it to properly download.

But, heck, maybe if your good friends at Forge would actually give some service to those seeking help with what they've "poured their hearts out into developing for 3 years" instead of standing around in their Minecraft coding circlejerk laughing at the "plebs who have technical problems that aren't ours", maybe I wouldn't be having such an issue. Oh well.

I really need help, I downloaded it, i moved it to the .minecraft folder, but it is there: forge, no mods folder, just forge. When I click on it it says i need a different version of java, which i'm not allowed to get...
