Forge problems
So basically I wanted to get mods, so I looked up how. Long story short, I downloaded the JDK and downloaded Forge, but it won't open. And I don't mean it's crashing or anything, I just double click it, or open it on browser, etc and it just doesn't pop anything up. I'm on a mac, I've downloaded and deleted the JDK several times, done the same with Forge, tried both the recommended version as well as latest, and even tried an older version of Forge. Still won't open and I have no idea why. I haven't even gotten to the part of installing mods. Does anybody have a solution?

Did you download the JDK or did you mean JRE? JDK (Java Development Kit) is for modders who want to develop Java applications. JRE (Java Runtime Environment) is actually what can run .jar files like the Forge installer. Once you have the JRE installed, try to run the Forge installer using Java or Java Platform SE Binary (I don't know how Java shows up on a Mac) and see if that helps at all.
I downloaded the JDK, but I just did the JRE and it opened! thank you! Also are you the SecurityCraft guy or am I not remembering the guy who made it

Not on my own computer (never used mods before hence me not knowing this stuff) but yes I've used it it's legitimately one of the mods I was planning on getting :D Honestly great mod
