Forge Question
Hello. So me and my pals like to play Minecraft on my server I own and we sometimes play modded, However, one of my friends uses his families computer to he is not allowed to download things all that often, so he convinced his mom to let him download twitch so we could use the twitch launcher to play modded, But the twitch launcher is now moving the mods sections over to "Overwolf" and there's practically no way he could convince her of this, So I thought it might be possible for him to download forge and install it directly into the Minecraft launcher without downloading anything. By this I mean he could transfer files over from the twitch Minecraft launcher to the official Minecraft launcher to be able to play forge and modded (Even if it would only be a couple of mods and could never add more when the twitch launcher goes out)
TL;DR - Is it possible to transfer forge files from the Minecraft Twitch Launcher to the actual Minecraft launcher and move mods in as well to play modded (I was able to actually get forge in and it boots up fine but it crashed when trying to join a singleplayer world)

It's possible, but 'fiddley' ...... see if you friend can convice family if he can download MultiMC - from here : https://multimc.org/
It's very easy to set up, and great for modding - its almost a 1 click action to install forge into a particular minecraft instance, then just pull your mods folder from twitch instance into MultiMC instance.
