Friend can't join server for more than 1 min

Hey guys, I need help with a problem my friend has been having for quite a while now. He has google'd the situation, but if it does work, it only does for around 30 seconds, and then gets disconnected with ''A fatal error has occurred. This connection has been terminated.'' And he has re-downloaded his whole .minecraft 4 times. He is using the recommenced Java version (which is version 7 update 80) and has a windows 8, if that matters any. Thanks guys for looking, and if you do, helping.

Derp. Next time see if you can somehow ensure that all clients that are trying to connect have the mods; I've tried connecting to ONE modded server before, and it asked me to get a list of mods. Do you have something of the sort?

We figured it out, the battle towers mod was a compressed zip file. All I had the to do was open it up and drag and drop the items. Thanks though

48productionsAs many other people have said, we can't help you unless you provide a log file. Do the client and the server have the EXACT same versions of the EXACT same mods? If the versions aren't the same, that might be your problem.

In the future a log file will help a lot more than a screenshot

As many other people have said, we can't help you unless you provide a log file. Do the client and the server have the EXACT same versions of the EXACT same mods? If the versions aren't the same, that might be your problem.

EDIT: I read the log after I posted. On one of the lines, the log says "Attempting connection with missing mods [BattleTowers] at CLIENT". I think that means that the client doesn't have that mod installed, and that he should. I'm going to go look into this message a bit.

Hello, I am the friend with the current problem, and no; there is no crash report all it says its "A Fatal Error has occurred, this connection has been terminated. Then it just sends me back to the title screen where you can connect to multiplier, single player, etc. .

Unless your two friends are using the same WiFi network as you are, this is likely a problem on the server's side.
