Hiya everyone. I've just recently started running the 100% default Feed The Beast server with the 63 plugins it comes with. It's amazing! However I have a critical question about modding FTB.
So, can you mod FTB server plugins & give the clients the corresponding files, AND still have your FTB launcher/server running like normal?
I want to add something like Mo'Creatures but with FTB's custom launcher/jar and server side, I'm really worried I can't just add it like normal.
Oh and kind of an unrelated question but still something I'd like to add to the server. FTB has a mod called Twilight Forest, I absolutely LOVE everything about it. It's a completely new world to my gf, all my buddies, and myself. Is anyone familiar with another plugin similar to Twilight Forest? I would love to check it out, or if you have more than 1 in mind, I'd love to see them all!

Awesome. Yeah it's just a private server with friends, and I use teamviewer with them so it won't be a hassle to have it setup for them as well. :3
Not too sure I really want to add Mo'Creatures, but I'll give it a look and see if the version matches. I'm more so interested in mods similar to the Twilight Forest mod.
Now... Just need to find mods similar to that epic Twilight Forest. XD

Simple answer = Yes, this does work. For most mods anyway, haven't tested Mo' Creatures before, but go try it!
Advanced answer = Kind of. If this server is being used only among your friends, all you have to do is send them the mods and instruct them how to add them atop the normal FTB pack. This can sometimes be a hassle: you may want to print out directions or something! Once again, I'm not sure this will work with Mo' Creatures in particular, since I haven't personally tested it. Make sure you are using the server version, of course. If they don't have one, it definitely not compatible. Anyway, if you are planning on making this a public server, that is not a great idea, since every single person with have to install the extra mod. Some people might not even want to waste that time, so if you're going for popularity, I would not recommend doing this. I see no problem with doing this on a private server with your friends.
