Game keeps crashing on launch!
Hi, i just installed windows 8.1 and wiped my hdd on my laptop.
I tried to play minecraft, didnt work out so well.
Problem :
When i open the laucher, Everything is as normal, but when i click on Play, the game returns with a crashlog. Also a pop-up window saying my graphic drivers are outdated.
I updated the drivers from ATIs homepage, and verified they're the latest.
However, same problem. Same crashlog and popup window.
Here's my crashlog, please help me continue my Epic timelapse

anyway OP minecraft 1.8 requires higher graphics specs than the other versions
(i had this issue and it sucks i know) minecraft 1.8 requires opengl version 2.1 or higher.. the chances are your old gpu doesnt support this
fixes:
upgrade gpu
buy new laptop

I would just get a new PC.
I'm glad you have the resources to ''just get a new pc'' when your old is broke, but i don't have it. So if thats your solution thank you for the tips but im not intrested.
What are your full specs?
And who is the maker of your laptop?
Also, I've found two drivers, one is a legacy driver from last year, and a newer driver from this year.
1) http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/d ... 8%20-%2032
2) http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/m ... t-packages
Now, I've read up on these cards, and they came out in 2008. AMD has moved them to "legacy" status, which means no more monthly updates, and no more performance updates for any newer OS's. (Win 8.1)
Some say it isn't support on 8.1, while others (and AMD) say that it is, but it is a legacy card.

Oh, and the second link, which is for 64bit as i have, gets me and fail report, cause ''The package failed to install'' But gives me no type of information why :O
Oh i get it, so the best thing maybe is downgrading back to windows 7? (The laptop origianlly came with win7)

I told u it is ur GPU. U might have to get a new one. If ur computer can handle a new GPU.
Well has the minecraft rendering changed then? Cause it was'nt too long ago that i played minecraft on it.
Idk if the rendering changed but the crash report shows a lot of opencl errors.
BUMP, please anyone?
My Windows 8.1 laptop hated MC, do not update to 8, it'll mess everything up.. I had to buy an entire new laptop.
I have windows 8, and it works great, you should've taken it to a computer professional.
Then you wasted a bunch of money. You could have just reinstalled windows and I doubt windows 8.1 messed it up. You could have just not have reinstalled your drivers.
*BUMP* I really need this fixed
What is the GPU u have in the computer. I know it is old since it has ATI branding but can u tell me what card u have.
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4300 Series

Yea the one asked for :/ And ATI autodetect verified my drivers are the latest for the graphics, however minecraft keeps saying i need to update it
The GPU is very old. So AMD does not make supported drivers anymore to keep up with games.
Whaaaaaat, its just 3-4 years, should'nt it be okay?
It is something wrong with ur GPU it can be caused by hardware or software
install drivers
Please follow the instructions here: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/pixel-format-not-accelerated/support/#dxdiag
the link of the bottom on the page is not working.
