Getting my server popular
Hello people of Planet Minecraft. I was wondering on how do I get my server popular? I have just went public 2 weeks ago and I was wondering where are the other players at? I have a regular base of 4 to 8 people online. The server is one of those very orignal servers that many people don't see often! The only thing I do not understand is why do my players not login? I have 100 slots and 2GB Ram to support it. I have 2GB ram and not like 4GB because I do not have like 100 players on every time and just 4 to 8! I was wondering if you guys could give me some good tips and maybe login to my server to see what to improve and what is good? Also my night players are like 2 to 4 or so. Thanks!
IP to my server: 209.148.93.26:25691

Your server being online would be a great help.
Tried to connect and received a Socket Timeout.
- You _wont_ support 100 players with 2GB of ram, you'll be lucky to support 20.
4GB might get you to 50ish depending on plugins loaded, disk I/O database latency, depends on your setup. If your Really thin on plugins, 4GB might get you 10 players, though It would probably lag pretty badly.

Like you said 2gb ram, upgrade to 4gb so you can run more efficiently.
Now running a server and getting a user base isn't very easy. But what I use to do when I ran a big server was get the active users and also new members to invite their friends online so they stay companied. Also when someone joins greet them. Thank/welcome them. No newbie wants to enter and get raped with bs chat. I usually leave at that time.
Next, make sure what your theme is also fits the plugin category. Like factions isn't gonna be mlp. Or creative with Towny. Makes no sense to do that. Unless it's a multiworld thing, that's a different case.
Also from time to time ask users how they like the server, what feature requests they have, how you can improve the server. It helps A LOT. Trust me, I've gone from beginner to pro server owner by asking users about their preference.
And remember to post the server IP on as many places you can. And on PMC, bump it every 24 hours for max publicity making sure no rules are broken while doing so.
PS: since your IP is numerical, get a dedicated IP. One like myepicserver.no-ip.org (idek if that's a server lol)
