I've been trying to unmod my minecraft.jar, but I keep messing it up. I've heard you can just delete your .minecraft and minecraft.exe will replace it the next time you log on, but will that actually work?

likely you have a texturepack or some mod files that are causing the crash. Delete EVERYTHING in your .bin folder and run minecraft again. If this still doesn't work, delete EVERYTHING (except your save games folder) in your .minecraft folder and do it again. if NOTHING else fixes it, that will.

THANK YOU TIMES INFINITE! Now I can get on the servers I've always wanted to get on but were 1.4.4+. If you can, please rename this topic "wymario's occasional questions" or something involving me asking questions whenever I need to, or just lock this topic.

Or I could delete minecraft.exe and everything going with it, then redownload it. But I'll see what the Mojangstas say on my report.

Don't delete your whole .minecraft you'll lose everything just force update game in options before login then it'll unmod it.

Thank you! BTW, I like that picture of Notch being spun around with the title "MEANWHILE..." over it.
