Good Computer bad FPS - HELP!!!
I have a computer and im trying to run Shaders. I was Thinking of factory reseting my pc but thought i may ask others.
My Specs
8gb ram - 7.90gb usable - 5gb for minecraft
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610GM CPU @ 2.30 GHz 2.30 Processor
64-bit Operating System
Amd 2gb deticated graphics
Please Help ASAP

Bad fps might be caused by internet conection sometimes., if its not, try going to "Video setings" and increase the maximum fps to like 190 or somthing, also some servers have a limit of fps, for example in one servr i play i only get 60 fps, never more. but in my server <not homehosted> i get up to 270.

^^Ignore this guy, a server will not affect your FPS.
A map can affect it, so if they've got a lot of tile entities in a small area your FPS might drop, but general server/networking won't affect FPS. FPS is almost entirely a rendering thing, which is handled client-side.

Server Lag can affect FPS (not so much in Minecraft, it's generally down to bad programming in a game)
However...If the server is on a low quality data center, the internet connection from your house to the data center shared/dedicated host can be really low, cauing FPS lag due to chunks not loading on the SERVER side. Also, if the server has the world set to render to fast it is also a SERVER SIDE FPS drop. If it happens to others, it is server side. I play on a Dell 2GB Ram Low Quality computer. 0 Lag. Ever.

Try using Optifine with the shaders... or maybe getting a different shader pack.
You have not including your GPU (Graphics Card) in your specs, shaders are very GPU intense unlike vanilla mine craft which is CPU intense.

Your graphics card specs would help. Saying 2gb means nothing. There can be a 100gb graphics card that is worse than a 512mb one. It's all about the speed of the graphics card and little about graphics card memory. The memory just stores textures and such.

On ArmA 1/2/3 the server's internet speed affects the FPS :b But on minecraft it doesn't.
