Group manager HELP!!!

I recently installed the group manager plugin on my server Blade craft. And I want to create a new group, like a Trial_mod group, I do /mangadd Trial_mod everything is good then I add perms to it and I test it, and none of the perms will work. I need to know how to make it work and how to set up a group that will work, thanks for reading!!!
