Yesterday, me and everyone was traumatized. My server first closed, so I exited the console and reloaded. They all came back, but we discover that one of the building was surrounded literally by a dome of TNTS.
We are still under investigation, but here's a question: If the server's online mode was true and the whitelist was on, would a hacker still be able to hack through? I mean, everyone is literally blaming each other, while I suspect it's a hacker. Another time happened, when one of the building's room was spammed with cauldron and fire ( but it didn't spread?). We ignored this, but yesterday it went too far. Can it be a hacker, or is just someone in the server?

Just make a copy of the entire server folder. I do this every 24 hours and then FTP them to my main computer. This way every 24 hours I have a backup of everything, so even if the entire server somehow got destroyed the worst that would happen is a 24 hour rollback. The reason I FTP them to my main computer is because then even if the server machine crashes, I still have the backups on a different computer. The odds of everything going wrong at the same time are slim but I like to be safe.
Once a week I delete my backups, at that point you don't need them any more.
Also with CoreProtect you can easily just roll everything back, I use it all the time when I'm building. I'll build something huge, then make a bunch of change and hate it, so just roll it all back.

In my opinion, every so often you make something that takes a lot of time to create, you should create a backup.
If you don't know what that is, a backup is something where if someone changed your whole spawn to Sponge, and you created a backup the day before, you can backup the server to that time and have everything that was changed, back to normal.

The sphere can easily be created by WorldEdit, it's a brush. As for the logging of commands and edit, I'd suggest using CoreProtect, this plugin will also allow you to roll back these incidents.

Did a player just make them? Anyone have access to creative mode or worldedit? No way you could be hacked unless someone with admin permissions got their account hacked. You should install some sort of logger to keep track of who does what on the server it really helps identify issues.

It's all my friends, so they all are opped and have access to creative. But a huge sphere made in 10 minutes..no, that can't be. One of my friend also says that this boy in the server has an insider called worldedit. One of them also planned to destroy the building. Do you have some plugins that keeps track of what they do. It might not be required, because I have a console that keeps track of what they say and command.
It's a bukkit server, just in case.
