any tips on how to Stop DDos hackers? aside of having to call a friend of mine to deal with it.?

p.s As far as PMC, Good people of Planet Minecraft. What you do for the rest of us is something more then words can tell you. A lot of people play minecraft to escape a bad day or just hang out with friends. I know you can not "close" down there server but they do use your site. I should really go over and over your rules and info on this website. Again i do not wish to "blow the whistle" on hackers, a lot of hacks are harmless and just allows players to cheat in game. But to the hackers that can close down a site that the owners PAY for well that's something else. Perhaps take down there Server info, as well as have a page just for the "Bad" hackers to warn the rest of us.
Funny, the player/IP that had logged on our server to do that in the first place was the one that is from that IP. Name/IP logged. You know i don't mind the simple hacker, one that is for the greater good or what not. But to just pick random servers tell them to Op them or they close down the server.. then DO IT.. let this be a warning to you all that have public servers.. you will not know when they come but trust me they found our server they will find yours, best thing to do is use IPtracker and all of that other stuff thats out there. You can press charges on the ones that do it. Perhaps there mom and dad once they get a bill in the mail will end the hacking for the rest of us good people.

Its to bad that My wife and i join this game and this website to meet new people, to make new friends and enjoy a game for people like that to just log on and do what they want like that. Don't get me wrong i have known a hacker or two in my life and there good people, but hackers that just log on and tell you to Op them or there shutting down your server.. again in the US its breaking a law and we can press charges oh and having people in high places can make that happen.
oh heres a update. The hackers server is -snip- .. again its nice to have friends that are in high places.. so planetminecraft.. if you want to keep the good ppl on your site i would urge you to shut them down. < as far as getting on this website > but do what you wish.

Get a host that offers DDoS protection and don't make any enemies. Other than that, no advice.
