Hi my name is Mason, I used to play Minecraft about 6 months ago and I remembered from then about how the EULA does not allow servers to sell permissions on their server. I decided to come back to it and am thinking of opening my own server and was wondering, are we now allowed to sell permissions and items on our server?

Technically, no, sort of. Mojang allows you to sell cosmetic items (but not capes). However, many servers still do, and no-one has been punished yet, and its unlikely they ever will.
