Having problems with spawn protection
Ok, I use worldguard for my spawn and have button use allowed, defaults have a choice of 4 classes which i'm switching from commandblocks to serversigns, but either way no default rank or above (excluding OP's) can use blocks or signs. I don't believe it's a permissions problem. I need help ASAP because i want to get the server open and public before the 8th. Can you help me please?
[EDIT] I've been trying to fix this with a friend, it isn't a permissions problem. I have no idea, I am thinking it's something to do with EssentialSpawn or WorldGuard but I've no idea how to fix them. Default ranks are not allowed to use buttons or serversigns. They are however, able to use pressure plates. If you have any idea on how to fix this, please message me on Skype. My Skype name is vinyllpon3.

I had the excact same problem!
It took me a lot of time to solve....
Go to server.propeties in your server folder and change this:
spawn-protection=0
make sure that there is a zero, or chest opening, essentials signs, etc. won't work...
