What is the height limit in a superflat tunneller's dream Minecraft world? THIS IS URGENT. Because I just started a really big project and I'm starting to build towers and roofs and stuff like that, and suddenly I can't place blocks. If that was the height limit and not a glitch... then I'm screwed without WorldEdit which my computer can't handle.

Try MCEdit, it doesn't lag and it isn't a mod. The only problem is that the last version was for 1.5 (I believe), but you can still place blocks from later versions using their IDs.

Since 1.8 beta, the height limit has always been y=255/256 (coordinates are round at the edges of blocks, so the heighest block you can place would occupy coordinates 255 till 256), no matter what kind of world you are in. how high your buildings can be depends on how high the ground level of your superflat world is.
I believe its 256.
