So me and a friend were building on a server, using craftbukkit btw, so I switched out all the world files, and put in a different world to show him, but we spawned in a random spot away and couldnt find my buildings. So i put the newer world files in and now we cant find our stuff!! Is there anything I can do now? or is it all lost forever

go into singleplayer, and open that world, if you're still lost in single player, use MCEdit to find your stuff and place your character and spawn point there, then when your satisfied with where your character is on MCEdit, go into your world(SP-SinglePlayer), press F3(shift+f3 to hide those pesky graphs(if you have 1.2+)), and write down your Z, and X coords, then go there in multiplayer. using a map viewer such as rei's minimap will help you get there a lot faster and help you detect buildings and so from distances, without you have to go there yourself, and/or getting a map. X on your map, is from left to right (walking right increases your X value, vice versa), and Z on your map is your up and down value(walking up will decrease your Z value, vice versa also). hope this helps in any way!
