My friend dies on "our" minecraft server on hardcore I unbanned him but when he joins he spawns where he died. Hes alive for like 5 seconds and then he goes to the deathscreen please help!

I figured it out it was a glitch I had to delete his profle off the players file on the world file
Are you sure that is not the spawn for the server? And when he spawns the spawn point is hard enough that that take all of his damage.
