Uh, So I tried to log into minecraft today to change my skin and stuff, but when I tried, it said "You need an account to do that." Something like that, but I already bought an account under the name.. I tried to use my email and user, but only works when I use Email and it doesn't have my user. But I still can log into minecraft in the client and use multiplayer and stuff.. I'm confused though.

i've always logged in with my email.. I thought it was always a requirement.

As far as I know, logging in with your email means you've migrated your account and are logging in with your Mojang account credentials. Logging in with your username means your account isn't migrated.
I would contact Mojang support if you can't log in and/or can't reset your password.

Try Contacting the website see if they can help thats how i fixed my problem with skins!
