HELP!

Me and my sister played MC 1.8 forge back in the day. I can't remember how we did it but it was probably through LAN. I read up on it and made sure we had the exact same mods. When she connects it lets her join but kicks her out. Please help

Try this on your PC:
1) Open control panel
2) Click on "System and Security"
3) Click on "Windows Defender Firewall"
4) Towards the left, you should see something that says "Allow an app or feature...", click on this.
5) Scroll down the list until you see "Java(TM) Platform SE Binary". There might be a couple versions of it on your list.
6) Check both boxes next to each version of "Java(TM) Platform SE Binary".
7) Click OK

I've just tried the 'Open to LAN' option in MC 1.8.9, and it works fine, so the only issue is going to be either Windows firewall blocking java from getting out on the machine acting as the server, or maybe antivirus software.
This issue will only affect the machine acting as the server, not the machine trying to connect to it.
