i get this when i try and put my server on here, i am not sure what to do since when i go on chat and ask for advice i get abused from the other players so i can't use that anymore, and i have looked at videos but they just show to pit the ip and port in and they work but mine does not so this can any one explain why? i have port foward my ip from my router and have checked many times but still i can't find and logical reason. my server is up on my screen but my ip is 192.168.0.2 and my other one is 82.45.117.218.
so if you are good and setting up servers i would be grateful if you spend some time with me to help me get around this problem.

is it the ip of the country or the computer
because if it was the contry ip the port is changed !

Simple to fix this....
1. make "ServerIP" blank in your server properties
2. login to your router and make TWO PORT FORWARDINGS
never make only 1 port forward... make 2... one for TCP and one for UDP

I only have 1 and it works fine :/ its just some routers are not as smart as others
Ip that starts with 198 or something is your External ip its always something like: XX.XX.XX.XX and our Private IP is random XXX.XXX.X.XXX and ppl connect to your server using the XX.XX.XX.XX IP so you meed to port forawd that IP to port default recomended 25565 and boom other ppl can connect to your server also check out this:

Yeppers. Same problem here everyone. I'm an IT professional, I know what I'm doing, and the server is listed on Enjin just fine, and has been for weeks. Something is not right with Planet Minecraft.

what are you trying to do hmm? send that person a virus? or have you just made a simple mistake? you need to look at firewall to see your port... i recomend NOT to post stuff you only think is true unless you are positive . But if you want to say "i think you" at the first part of your sentence than maybe they will understand you more okay?

If you are running a spigot server 1.7.2 (Cracked)
You have to downgrade it for it to be accepted on PMC.
Or you can wait till the 22nd of November for a Bukkit 1.7.2 release.
So SPIGOT Is not accepted on PMC<<<<

I am having the same problem, I run a 80 player minecraft server. I do however have a SOLUTION that sometimes work but does not in all cases.
Go to the server properties file and make sure enable query is TRUE as this enables websites such as planet mine craft to ping the server and check if its online. However this did not work for me so i am doing a massive range of trouble shooting, as soon as i find out how to fix it i will post it here.

i got the same problem here with me server. I have port forewarded but i test connection on planet minecraft and says failed to imput and tried 3 times. HELP
So Paril If i was the owner of the server do I use my public IP or private IP?
192.168.x addresses are generally LAN IPs. You need to use your public IP to allow connectivity from others.
Your server must implement the proper ping packet in order to function on PMC, so make sure no plugin is overriding or messing with that packet. It's also possible it's not fast enough (server times out when we attempt to ping it).

Port 6666 is closed on 209.250.2.213.
Have you set your ip to be static? if not and you dont know how theres a program you can get to do it for you, i use it: http://www.portforward.com/store/Portfo ... ddress.exe
once you have done that (i believe from what you say you have done the rest correctly) it should work and people should be able to connect on 82.45.117.218:25565 (if 25565 was what you forwarded (however you may have to forward again after setting your ip to be static (you need to forward from the ip it statics to (usually 192.168.1.150 i think)))) (if that doesnt work... idk whats wrong :/)
