HELP: Failed to connect. Please check your network.
Hey guys! So yesterday I was working on my minecraft server. I was trying to figure out how to portfoward it without Hamachi. I went into Network in System Preferences, (I am using a Mac) and found my Router IP, the 192.168.x.x. I made that my server ip in server.properties. Then I went to no-ip.com and changed it to johnjohnraw.no-ip.org using the 192.168.x.x. Then I went on Planet Minecraft to post my server. When it said to test my connection I did and got this:
Verify server ownership:
Step 1 : Failed to connect. Please check your input. Test Connection
9 tries left.
I have tried putting in:
My IP at ipchicken.com (xx.xxx.xxx.xxx)
My Router IP: 192.168.2.1
My New Server IP: johnjohnraw.no-ip.org
My server works. It is on. Query is enabled. My server port is default 25565. PLEASE HELP!

OK, I have a new problem. That IP is technically just localhost (192.168.x.x) so it doesn't even work AND my dad must have set a password for my router but he doesn't even know it?!? What should I do?
try password or admin as your password those are usally the defaults

You don't need to put in an IP in the server.properties unless you have multiple IPs, so just leave that blank. Thank link he posted will probably help, but no one would hack you, and anyway who would want to? They wouldn't get anything out of it. Besides, there are plenty of servers just on this site that they could hack, so just ignore his idiotic comment.
This should help, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye_BnHAEJGU And i wouldn't put in your IP here by the way as people could hack you...
