1.5 help me fix lag
I have installed optifine and put all my options to low,
But my hole minecraft still lags because of 1.5 the
stupid update. Dont say i need a better minecraft,
Just tell me how to make my minecraft stop lagging please.

Guys, textures have been updated to be practically animations. Use default textures for best performance, and make sure that you have it NOT on power saving mode. 1.5 lags my macbook pro sometimes but its not bad. it crashes whenever I use my web browser AND mine craft (only when its youtube). Press f3. It should bring up some numbers. If the numbers next to where it says fps are low then its the fact that your computer is bad, to many entities or redstone things are happening, or server lag, and sometimes its to many programs open.
seems like Sp614x has been updating optifine pretty fast and releasing them quick .Right now the update to 1.5 is 90% done but that is soon to change im sure

Its been happening to me too. They did add the fact that block are a seperate file and not just one big terrain.png. Im still finding out ways to fix the lag im getting. Its either that or i just use the minecraft default texturepack(it would only lag with texturepacks)

I had major trouble with this yesterday, but I fixed it by installing optifine this morning.
Its not just lag, Its 1.5

The lag is really really slow that is what i mean all the time it was never like that in 1.4.7
Did it drop your FPS?

Don't reffer to low framerates as "Lag". What kind of 'lag' are you getting? Low FPS? Occasional Freezes? What?
No because i never lagged in 1.4.7 I only lag in 1.5
It could be your graphics card.
Because the only thing added were bug fixes and new items.
