Hello everyone,

I hope you are well. I just asking to you some helps about Moding with MCreator.
I just want to know if I can moding with MCreator ?

Passionate about paleontology, I intend to get into moding to try and create mods/mobs on extinct animals, starting for example with Chalicotherium (it seems to me that it does not exist). I wanted to know if it was possible to create your own mod/mob with MCreator, and especially if it was done quite easily. For the mod animations and movements, is MCreator also adequate for this ? Do you know of a tutorial that sums it up in a simple and fairly quick way ?
I would also like to take skins from already existing mods/mobs (like Megatherium), is there a database with free access skins (in .png) that I can use ?

I am grateful in advance for your answers.

Yours truly,

Blockbench: https://blockbench.net/ is great for making custom mob models, and it can be used to make animations for them as well, if you are looking to make new mobs I would recommend using Blockbench to make the models and textures, and then you can use Mcreator to make the mob have AI and spawn ingame.

Dear dreamCritting,

Thank you very much for your response and for your link about Blockbench !
I don't know if using Blockbench it's something quite easy for beginner (I haven't much experience with 3D logicial).
Do you have a good tutorial for beginner ?

And Do you know if there is a database for download prehistoric mobs (like in my case Megatherium) to put them as model in Blockbench ?
I'm sorry because I'm a beginner in Minecraft, that's why I don't know many thing about this awesome and unlimited game.

Thank you in advance and wish you a good day !

There is a database full of models made in blockbench: https://sketchfab.com/search?q=blockbench&sort_by=-relevance&type=models altough it might be hard to find exactly what you're looking for and obtaining permission from the creators to use the models may not always be possible - I have never tried because I make my own models.

Blockbench is fairly easy to use and there are loads of tutorials both on Youtube and on the Blockbench website: https://blockbench.net/category/tutorials/
