Hello dear Minecrafters! I'm new to Minecraft, so I need some help with Forge for 1.7.10. and skins. First of all, I downloaded Forge as it was in tutorial:
1. Went to http://files.minecraftforge.net/
2. Clicked "Installer" next to "1.7.10-Reccomended". (I thought problem is with installer, because there are also Changelog, Installer-Win, JavaDoc and Universial)
3. Put Forge file on desktop
4. Clicked it and "Install client".
5. All looked perfectly
6. Downloaded mod called "Crafting Guide"
7. Opened Minecraft and made new settings file, put on Forge 1.7.10. and run
8. Minecraft couldn't run and it crashed after some time
And now question for skin:
1. I went to Nova Skin, found skin that I want
2. Clicked save
3. Copied link
4. Went to Mineshafter
5. Put URL of skin into box
6. Image of skin was there
7. Again I clicked save
8. Came to Mineshafter Launcher, logged in with KingJelly and run
9. There was no skin...

FORGE PROBLEMO:
it could've crashed (Forge is known to crash) due to memory on your PC/Laptop. Maybe, if the mod is really big, download another mod. If that doesn't work, maybe re - download Forge. Could you please say what your Memory of you PC/Laptop is and the amount of memory for the mod is? Maybe we can help you more I we know these details.
SKIN PROBLEMO:
I Know a better way -
Go to a place, like NovaSkin or PMC -
Save the skin (click on the download - when it comes up, click save) and place it where you want it the folders.
Go to the official Minecraft Website (https://minecraft.net/)
Sign into your account (you must have a MC/Mojang account)
Click on profile
change your skin by uploading the skin file and -
That should give you a skin - if you are running MC when you change your skin, close minecraft, the open it again.
