Hello people! I recently got a minecraft server in the hopes of making a big successful faction server. I got a really cool spawn, a shop, and a jail. i also have numerous plugins. When I posted it on Planet Minecraft I was hoping to get a ton of people. Well the exact opposite happend. People came on asked for admin, I told them no, and they went off. Only like 2 people stayed on. I thought it was because of I had no staff members on. I reposted it like 3 times but yet the same thing happend. I don't know what to do at this point. I feel like giving up on my server at this point. Nobody even goes on except for like only at 6 pm. Please give me a suggestion on what to do! Thanks!

Honestly, it's about two things.
Presentation, and Gameplay.
Presentation: On the post, make sure you have nice screenshots/images, that truly represent your server. Make sure you have nice builds, and a great staff-base. You always want to have a good description on any post you make for the server, as players generally want to know what the server is before they randomly join in.
Gameplay: Get great plugins that enhance the gameplay. However don't go overboard and get so many unnecessary plugins that it creates so much lag on your server players can barely play.
Make things for players to do, Spleef, Pvp, Ctf, TDM, Creative, etc. Make it worth-while.
These are just a few suggestions for you on what you can do to enhance your overall player base. I found these truly do help, as I run my own server, and I think you should use these on your own server if you want to become larger.
