whenever i try to download anything related to minecraft (optifine, forge, origins) the installer simply does not work. If anyone can help me let me know. Please someone help!

if it doesent work download jarfix to fix the java download it should in theorie work.

then this screen should pop up and you DONT WANNA PUSH THE FREE DOWNLOAD BUTTON. just push the link under it called: "No thanks, continue downloading jarfix."
then it starts and go to java.com to get java click the FREE JAVA-DOWNLOAD
then it should download good after that u wanna download optifine. have fun my friend i hope it works!

If you're using Windows try the following:
1) Hold down the System key and press R. Release both.
2) A window should pop up. Enter "cmd" and click "OK".
3) Another window should pop up.
3) enter "cd Desktop" and hit enter.
Next, let's make sure java runs as expected.
4) enter "java --version" and hit enter.
If java works you should get an output like this:
If it worked, let's search for errors in the installer.

6) Back in the black window type "java -jar <filename>". Replace "<filename>" with the name of your jar file including ".jar" (If it doesn't look like the if the filename ends with ".jar" make sure to press tab.
7) Hit enter.
